About this product
Thirty shapes and twenty pictures
Thirty flat wooden shapes in bold flat colour – circles, semicircles, triangles – for building stylised pictures. The cards show a ladybird, a parrot, a dog, each assembled from a handful of the same shapes.
The style is deliberately graphic rather than realistic, which is what makes a two-shape bird recognisable as a bird.
Building without a grid
Unlike our triangle mosaic, the pieces do not tessellate. They are laid loosely on a surface to suggest a shape rather than fitted together, so there is no correct fit and no way to be wrong.
That makes it the least frustrating set in this range and the one to start a young child on.
