About this product
A star cut through each one
Forty-five red wooden pins, teardrop-shaped, each with a small star pierced right through the head so the surface behind shows through it. They are the only marker in this range with a shape rather than a dot or a flag.
Red is the colour that carries furthest across our finishes, from the palest Light to the near-black Graphite.
What people use them for
Marking a category rather than a place. Red for where you are going next, plain wood for where you have been. Red for family, plain for work. The distinction is yours; the point is that two different markers let a map carry two kinds of information at once.
Used alone on a large map, forty-five is enough for a lifetime of highlights without covering it.
The shape matters at distance
A round pin becomes a dot from four metres away. This one keeps its outline, and the pierced star catches the colour behind it, which is what makes it visible from across a room where a plain marker is not.
