About this product
A landscape across the whole flap
Mountains, a treeline and open ground engraved edge to edge across the front – the only bag in this range where the decoration is a scene rather than a pattern. The engraving is fine and shallow, so it reads as tone rather than as carving, and the ridgeline runs the full width of the body.
The stain is a mid-brown that sits between Flora and Cora, which lets the burnt lines of the engraving carry without competing.
Why a landscape works on this shape
The body is curved, so the flap is not flat. A geometric pattern would distort across that curve; a landscape does not, because a horizon bending slightly is what a horizon does.
It is the one design in the range that uses the shape of the bag rather than working around it.
