About this product
The same rule, with faces
Sixteen round wooden counters printed with four animals – a fox, a dog, a cow and a pig – four of each. The grid is four by four and the rule is that no animal may repeat in a row or a column.
Where our shape sudoku uses abstract forms, this one uses characters, which is the version that holds a younger child's attention.
Two games in the box
The cards are double-sided: sudoku grids on one face, a matching game on the other. That gives a two-in-one set rather than a single exercise, and the matching side works from an earlier age.

Which of our two sudokus
This one for a child who is still learning to concentrate: the animals are recognisable and the counters are round and easy to handle. The shape version for one who has outgrown that, since abstract forms are harder to hold in mind than a fox.
