About this product
Sudoku before numbers
A four-by-four grid and sixteen coloured wooden shapes: squares, triangles, circles and rectangles in red, green, blue and yellow. The rule is the sudoku rule, reduced – no shape may repeat in a row or a column.
Because the pieces are shapes rather than digits, a child who cannot yet read numbers can play it.
Twenty tasks, three difficulties
The cards start with most of the grid filled and one or two gaps, and work up to grids with half the squares empty. The progression is the point: the same rule gets harder without becoming a different game.
An adult can set a harder puzzle by removing more pieces than the card shows.
What it is
Sixteen wooden pieces in four shapes and four colours, an instruction booklet and twenty graded tasks, 300 g in a 22 × 22 × 5.5 cm box. Its sibling is the Sudoku Animals, the same rule with faces for younger players.
