About this product
No engraving at all
Plain stained birch, front and back, with nothing cut into the face. The only marking anywhere is our CREATIF stamp on the reverse, beside the two screw heads of the ring mechanism.
It is the one notebook in this range where the material is the entire design, and the grain is what you look at instead of a drawing.
Why plain is a choice rather than a saving
An engraved cover fixes a notebook to a subject: the dragon suggests fiction, the vineyard suggests wine, the dream catcher suggests a journal. This one suggests nothing, which is what you want when the notebook is going to work rather than to a shelf.
It is also the one that will not date. Wood does not go out of fashion the way a motif does.
The grain is the variable
With nothing engraved, the figure in the plywood is the whole appearance, and no two boards are alike. Some come out with strong dark banding, others almost even.
The one to buy in quantity
If several people in an office or a studio need the same notebook, this is the one that suits all of them. It is also the base we engrave for business orders – logos, event branding, gifts for teams or clients – details on our wholesale page. How it is built
The cover is a single sheet of birch plywood, scored along the spine with a row of laser cuts so that it bends like a hinge; closed, the notebook reads as one solid block of wood. Inside, a four-ring mechanism is screwed to the cover and holds the block between black card leaves. The rings open: a page lifts out cleanly, and a new block goes in when this one is full. 100 lined sheets of 90 g/m² paper, each page headed with a date line and the days of the week; pencil, ballpoint and fineliner. 18.5 × 22 × 4 cm closed, a little over half a kilo.
