About this product
Botanical engraving on warm brown
A mid-brown stain, warmer than Olivia and Cora and deeper than Mia, with a botanical engraving worked into one corner of the flap rather than across the whole face. The pattern is small and off-centre, which is why the bag reads as plain from a distance and detailed close up.
The pale oak sides show clearly against the darker body.
Where the engraving sits
Placing the pattern in a corner rather than centrally is the difference between decoration and a signature. It works the way a maker's mark does: you notice it after you have already decided you like the object. Its opposite number is Mia, where the engraving takes the whole flap.
