About this product
A holiday inside a shell
The turtle is shown from the side, and the shell frames a beach you would book: palms leaning over the sand with a hammock slung between them, a little beach hut, a deck chair under a parasol, and a huge low sun behind it all. The shell rim is cut as its own layer, so the scene sits in a domed frame rather than a flat one.
Every other kit here frames the animal's world. This one frames a vacation, and the tiny furniture is what children hunt for first.
The lowest profile of the ten
At 16 × 10 cm this is the flattest format here, which suits a windowsill or the edge of a desk where a taller piece would be in the way.

Painting a sunset
The sky is the whole effect on this one, and it needs blending rather than flat colour: yellow at the horizon working up through orange into blue. Work while the paint is still wet, and accept that the first attempt will be streaky.
Paint the layers flat before gluing – the sun and the hut sit at the back of the stack. The shell rim can be left as bare wood, which gives the scene a frame and saves the paint for where it counts.
